Parents, teachers, and leaders in rural communities often look for youth outreach programs for students in their community. It may be to bring students exposure to career paths they may not have otherwise thought of, such as the law, teaching, or engineering. It may be in the hopes of giving students a boost as they carry on in their unique educational journeys. It could be to encourage them to go to college or take on a field or trade they’re interested in. It may even simply be to give students some much-needed mentorship and inspiration during a time of disengagement.

Sadly, well-intentioned community members in rural areas searching for such programs for their students may face an all-too-common challenge. These types of programs, specifically for middle and high school students, are often widely-available in large metropolitan cities, but scarce in rural communities. Bridge 2 Exposure is seeking to change that. That’s why we have assembled a passionate group of professionals across various industries who have a driving force to want to give back to students in rural America. There, they put in the time and effort to go on-site to schools in often overlooked communities and mentor right in the classroom (or venue of choice!)
